Food Program

Families may take advantage of the Food Service Professionals Company (FSP) program or their children may bring their own breakfast/lunch to school.  If students bring their own food to school, we encourage parents to pack nutritious breakfast/lunches for them.

St. Procopius School has a contract with FSP, which provides many students with breakfast and lunch on most school days.  All FSP meals are prepared fresh using lean meats, made-from-scratch recipes, whole grains, zero grams of trans-fats, and locally-grown, organic produce when available/affordable.  Different fruits and vegetables are provided each day, and low-fat milk choices are offered.  FSP is responsible for all food preparation and distribution, and the company abides by all federal laws regarding food preparation and handling.

To participate in the FSP program, families must submit the application to FSP, and FSP will subsequently determine whether or not a family meets income guidelines in order to receive free or reduced-price meals. Families that do not meet the federal income guidelines must pay full price. Families may order and pay for food service on a monthly basis and are invoiced directly by FSP.

Breakfast is served between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m. every school day, and lunch is served to each grade on a staggered basis between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the cafeteria (except for Pre-Kindergarten students, who eat in their classrooms).

All families wanting to have their child eat the school meals MUST place an order. Ordering for all months will be open the prior month from the 1st to the 15th.
